- Airtel Nigeria has declared openly the commencement of its annual ‘Five Days of Love’ Yuletide initiative, which donates palliative packs to 5,000 individuals across five Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in five cities in the country over five days.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, said: “Our resolve to Nigeria and Nigerians is unshakeable. Despite a difficult year, we are determined to make lives better for many Nigerians and we will not sleep on our laurels as we continue to establish opportunities for destitute Nigerians.
We believe minor things can make a difference, and as we continue to support the weak and underprivileged in our society, events will take a favorable turn. At Airtel, we believe that to be great, we must first be good. It is in this spirit that we have decided to celebrate this yuletide with underprivileged and underserved individuals across the country,” he added.
Currently, in its sixth year, the 2020 edition of the initiative kicked off in Benue State on December 18 at the Daudu IDP camp and moved to Edo State on December 22 at the International Christian Centre, Benin City, and in Borno State at the Teacher’s Village same day. On Wednesday, December 23, the allotment will be concluded at the Abbari YBC camp in Yobe State, and Sabin Tasha camp in Kaduna State, just in time for Christmas.
Ogunsanya assured that Airtel would continue to cooperate and partner with the government in the ongoing fight against COVID19.
