Wow!! ASUU strike has just been called off after a protracted discussion of terms and conditions with the Federal Government. It has been the battle of two elephants and the students have suffered enough. The good news is here… The strike is over. This is a wonderful Christmas gift to give Nigerians after all the events that transpired in 2020.
At last, students can now return to school after a protracted ‘labour’ between ASUU and the Federal Government. Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, ASUU president has announced that students can now return to school effective today.
The Federal Government and ASUU have both caved in to pressure and the catch is that ASUU can still go back on strike if the government does not fulfill its end of the deal but we hope that this will not happen.
There’s no specific time for students to resume back to school due to coronavirus resurgence in the country and the Federal Government directives on social distancing but students can get prepared.
Dear students, I have some advice:
- Start waking up by 6am.🙄
- Start to brush and bath on time.😏
- Go look for your books and dust them.🙄
- Call classmates if you have forgotten some courses you offer, your department or maybe the name of your school 😂
- Finally, prepare to face your worst enemy; your Landlord😨
