Maradona is no doubt one of the greatest footballers that inspired Argentina’s World cup success in Mexico 1986 and won the Golden Ball as the Tournament’s best player.
The 60-year-old died on the 25th of November 2020, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Tigre, Argentina.
Maradona’s body has arrived at the Presidential palace in Argentina.
A crowd of weeping fans also gathered outside the presidential palace on Thursday morning to watch Maradona’s coffin, as it will lie in state for three-day national mourning, declared by the Argentinian president.
Some fans have also set up a shrine outside the Buenos Aires stadium where Maradona began his career, to celebrate the legend.
