Did you know that the Award-winning ‘Henry Danger’ actor, popularly referred to as ‘Schowz’ (real name: Michael D. Cohen) is a transgender, born a female but transformed to male?
The actor revealed this in an interview last year.
Cohen featured in movies in the past as a female before he began his transition to be a male.
According to him, he does not like the term ‘transgender’, he finds something missing in that word, as his ‘core being’ has always been male.
The actor revealed he began his transition in his late 20s and that he was ‘misgendered’ at birth.
“In my experience, I was born male, What my body said about it was irrelevant. No matter how hard I tried, it was not up for negotiation. Believe me, it would have been so convenient if I was actually a woman.”
“This crazy backlash and oppression of rights is happening right in front of me, I can’t stay silent. The level of — let’s be polite — misunderstanding around trans issues is so profound and so destructive. When you disempower one population, you disempower everybody.”
“These are my people. I belong to this group.”
“If I tell my truth, that gives other people permission to tell theirs too,” said the actor.
Cohen’s relationship status is still unknown. Whether he’s married or in a relationship, no one can say.
Well now, you know 🥱
