Highest COVID-19 figure in Nigeria emerges and NCDC confirms another death

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, recorded 1,354 new infections of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.

It was confirmed on the NCDC’s Twitter handle.

This is the highest ever recorded in one day since the virus was first reported in Nigeria, with one death recorded.

The latest figure surpassed the 1,204 cases recorded across the country on Monday, confirming that Nigeria is experiencing a second wave of coronavirus.

The NCDC stated that the new infections bring the country’s total to 92,705.

The new cases were recorded from 20 States, including the Federal Capital Territory.
