Universal picture’ Boss Baby featuring Alec Baldwin, which was scheduled to be released 26 March 2021, will now be released 17 September 2021.
Fans have been anticipating the release of the sequel for 3 years and unfortunately, they will have to wait a bit longer.
The Boss Baby hit $50.1 million at the box office in 2017.
The sequel entitled “The Boss Baby 2: Family Business,” shows Alec Baldwin returning as an adult Ted and CEO of a hedge fund, with James Marsden replacing Tobey Maguire as Tim, a family man married to Carol (Eva Longoria) with two kids, seven-year-old Tabitha (Ariana Greenblatt), who idolizes her Uncle Ted, and infant Tina (Amy Sedaris).
The release date was moved due to COVID-19, as it is uncertain when movie theatres will be operating in full capacity.
DreamWorks Animation also moved their own animated movie Bad Guys from September 17, 2021, to an unspecified 2022 date.
