Tiger Woods undergoes back surgery for the fifth time

Golf legend, Tiger Woods has put his career on hold as he underwent back surgery for the fifth time.

Woods underwent the surgery after experiencing discomfort on his back during the PNC championship earlier in December.

On Woods Twitter page, a statement read, “Tiger has recently undergone a procedure known as a microdiscectomy to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching his nerve after experiencing discomfort following the PNC Championship.”

Although Doctors say the surgery was successful, Woods will miss a couple of PGA Tour events.

Taking to his Twitter, Woods said; “I look forward to begin training and am focused on getting back out on Tour.”
